That moment when all the time and effort pays off.
This is an old photo with my EF 50mm f/1.4 lens and a Canon 7d camera. I think it shows just how far imaging technology has come. The lens is wonderful and sharp and clear. The photo though has a pretty high level of noise. I took this at 2500 ISO and I think my current cameras would have only a fraction of the noise at the same sensitivity.
What a wonderful world we live in! Film at 2500 ISO would be almost unthinkable. But I causally use ISO 6400 or 12800 now and produce very good images!
