While not usually seen as a landscape lens, the 50mm actually is a nice perspective for landscapes. This was shot at sunset off of Rainbow Beach, Neenah, Wisconsin. Some ice pressure ridges had heaved up in the past week and provide a great foreground. Lots of snow is on the way so the patterns of the ice will soon be hidden beneath the snow. Also had to work fast as the cold and wind about froze my fingers!

This was shot at f/11 to give a good depth of field and the focus point was the block of ice about 1/3 of the way up. Yes, it seems silly to lug around a f/1.2 lens and shoot it at f/11 but you must work with the tools you have at hand!
